Easter Cookies

Oh, there is something so lovely about a white rabbit and pastel-coloured cookies, heralding Easter and the promise of spring! (It truly is only a promise, since today, the first supposed full day of spring, we are experiencing a Nor’easter!) This set of decorated Easter Cookies was designed to be sold for charity fundraising. Once again, I tried to simplify the design, this time by incorporating the use of Royal Icing transfers.

Gopher Valentine Cookies

Why make Gopher Valentine Cookies, you ask…?? The short answer is that it is a school mascot. (I’m not sure why, mind you, as it is not an animal that is native to our part of Canada.) The long answer is that the Home and School Association at my daughter’s elementary school organizes a Teacher Appreciation Day each year around the time of Valentine’s Day and parents supply food for break time each day. I try to come up with a different cookie design each year. The school mascot is a gopher, so I used that as the focus…and it works into a cute Valentine’s Day pun, as well!

Valentine’s Day Cookie Set

I designed a set of Valentine’s Day Cookies for my daughter to sell for charity fundraising. It needed to be basic, to speed up production, and somewhat gender-neutral in theme, to appeal to a broad market. There are so many Valentine’s Day puns, it was fun to research and plan. I did choose to go with classic pink and white, but added some black to the set to make it a bit more “masculine”.

New Year’s Eve Cookies

There is something magical about New Year’s Eve, and the start of a new calendar year. Perhaps it is just because it is another opportunity to get together with family and friends. Regardless, I chose to mark the celebration with a set of New Year’s Eve Cookies

Halloween Cookies

My daughter and I designed a set of Halloween cookies as a fundraiser for charity and took reservations. For now we design around what we can fit in a single layer in an 8 ½” x 11″ clear top box, as this is easiest for us to safely transport multiple sets when delivering to our “customers”. (I put the word customers in quotation marks as I don’t see this as a business, per say, although I suppose maybe our supporters do…)

3-D Printed Cookie Cutters

I’m sorry, but I enjoy technology, and although I do not consider myself an expert, I am not intimidated to tackle it either. Thus, when my daughter and I started designing cookie sets to sell as a means to raise funds for charity, I decided to investigate the option of creating my own 3-D printed cookie cutters.
